Holidaymakers booking their flight to India and other destinations may wish to make sure they take out a travel insurance policy, it has been reported.

“Travel insurance is as important as a suitcase. Don’t underestimate it,” said Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive at the British Insurance Brokers Association.

“Always buy it, it is cheap to buy but make sure you are buying the right thing for you,” he continued.

Mr Trudgill stressed the importance of taking out a policy, stating that in the event that something does happen, it will provide the peace of mind of being able to get in touch with someone who speaks the same language, knows how to help you – and can cover the cost.

Travellers catching cheap flights to Delhi in June could catch the end of the Mango Mania Festival taking place across the city.

All kinds of different mangoes and mango-themed produce will be on offer at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium.
