Gulf Air adds another nine TV channels to its ‘SkyHub’ entertainment suite

Gulf Air has announced that it is expanding its on-board TV package to include nine new international channels.

From 1st July, passengers on the airline will be able to watch HBO, Warner, FOX, E!, CBS, Disney, National Geographic, MBC and Star Plus – comprising of a total of 220 hours of programmes.

They will all be available via Gulf Air’s in-flight entertainment suite ‘SkyHub’, a service launched last year offers customers internet access, mobile phone services and a live television.

Samer Majali, chief executive of Gulf Air, said: “This development will further enhance our on-board entertainment offering.

“Through the launch of these nine international network channels passengers, for the first time ever, can watch television the same way in the air as on the ground.”

A recent survey conducted by Gulf Air revealed that 20 per cent of passengers are heavily influenced by the in-flight-entertainment package when booking a flight.
