SKYTRAX, a UK-based consultancy, operates an airline and airport review and ranking website. It has released its much-awaited list of First Class Airline Lounges. The rankings have been based on the response of air travellers in a 2016 global passenger survey. We will introduce you to five that have successfully made it to the list.

Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific offers a beautiful and exclusive lounge, which has been designed to create a peaceful environment for travellers. The Hong Kong International Airport features six lounges of which two cater especially to the first-class passengers. They are ‘The Wing First’ and ‘The Pier First’. The former is located in Level 7, while the latter is in Level 6 of the airport.

Lufthansa

During a stopover, long-haul travellers wish to sleep throughout the night and start the following day rested and refreshed. Frankfurt Airport allows people to do precisely that! Its ‘Welcome Lounge’ has well-appointed shower rooms, an extensive breakfast buffet, and areas for working and relaxing. The lounge is situated right behind the Baggage Reclaim in Arrivals Area B and is spread over two floors.

Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways features ‘Al Mourjan Business Lounge’ that treats passengers with its spell-binding portrayal of the Arabian heritage. The tempting a la carte & buffet dining with signature hospitality easily wins over visitors. The lounge has been designed to give a resort-like experience! Spread over an area of 10,000 square meters, the ‘Al Mourjan Business Lounge’ is 10 times the size of an Olympic size swimming pool.

Air France

La Première fulfils most of your whims and fancies. Foodies can delight themselves with a delicious snack, full meal, and chilled cocktail. Rejuvenating spa treatments are available at Biologique Recherche center. Those who need to work can use the fully-equipped personal space designed to maintain one’s privacy. Bibliophiles can spend some time at the well-stocked library.

SWISS

Of the 8 lounges in Zürich Airport, two cater exclusively to first-class passengers. They can be found in Terminal A and Terminal E. Both feature work stations and restaurants, The SWISS First Lounge of Terminal A is open from 5:45 AM to 10:30 PM daily while the SWISS First Lounge of Terminal E is open from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
