More holidaymakers will be able to fly with Etihad from London to Abu Dhabi.

Etihad has expanded its seat capacity on its blue ribband Heathrow to Abu Dhabi route.

The airline will have space for 13 per cent more passengers after it took delivery of its first three class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Holidaymakers looking to take advantage of the liner’s eight first-class suites, 40 business flat bed seats and 282 economy spaces to get to Etihad’s Abu Dhabi base will find comfort is not compromised on the seven-hour trip.

The 777 will fly the 9:15 am flight from Heathrow, while the two remaining daily flights will be serviced by the three class A340-600s.

They have a 12 first class, 32 business class and 248 economy configuration.

During the course of the next 18 months, Etihad will take delivery of seven more 777s, bringing its fleet total to 18.

The carrier is already considered to be the World’s Leading Airline by the World Travel Awards.
