An exclusive London restaurant is due to open a sister establishment in Dubai next month.

Fine dining connoisseurs catching flights to Dubai this summer are advised to book a table at one of Dubai’s newest restaurants, as the Ivy is due to open in the UAE city next month.

An offshoot of the famous London celebrity establishment of the same name, the Ivy Dubai will be based in the Boulevard Mall at the Emirates Towers, The National reports.

The aim is to replicate some of the glamour that makes the original restaurant, which dates back to 1917, so classy.

Sunil Kumar, the restaurant’s general manager, said: “A great deal of care and attention has been taken to emulate The Ivy in Covent Garden. I think that customers will be pleasantly surprised by the similarities between both restaurants.”

Famous patrons of the London restaurant included Laurence Olivier, Marlene Dietrich and Noel Coward, and it is hoped that the Dubai eatery will attract a similar calibre of discerning celebrities.
