Gourmands and connoisseurs have been encouraged to book their table at The Ivy, as the London hotel’s Dubai off-shoot is due to open next week.

Exclusive celebrity hotspot The Ivy is due to open its UAE sister restaurant on June 9th, it has been announced, alerting discerning diners planning on catching flights to Dubai.

Located on the ground floor of The Boulevard in the Jumeirah Emirates Towers development, the Ivy is sure to be a hit with Dubai’s socialites.

Designed by Martin Brudnizki, the restaurant features a private dining room and a 60-seat terrace, while dishes on offer will include its famous shepherd’s pie, as well as Dover sole and Scandinavian iced berries with hot white chocolate sauce.

A spokesman for Jumeirah Group, the restaurant’s owners, said: “The Ivy in Dubai will share the same standards of food, ambience and service as The Ivy in London, but will also take on board the best that Dubai has to offer.”

The Ivy in London was opened in 1917 and over the years it has boasted a glamorous clientele, including Laurence Olivier, Marlene Dietrich and Noel Coward.
