Dubai is popular with sun seekers this winter.
Dubai has proven to be a popular destination for holidaymakers heading away from the freezing British weather, according to Abta – the Travel Association.
The luxurious emirate has been a sought-after vacation choice for many of the people heading away on holiday this Christmas.
Other popular spots have included Turkey, the Caribbean and Tenerife, with all offering warm weather breaks while the temperature plunges back at home.
It was estimated by Abta that three million people have chosen to head away on vacation this Christmas break, with skiing trips to the Alps being a favourite and Geneva topping the list.
Mark Tanzer, Abta chief executive, said: “Holidays – especially at this time of year – can provide happy, lifelong memories and an opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends.”
Those looking for a skiing resort a little further a field may want to consider heading to India. According to Ski Safari, the country is begining to establish itself as a great place to get enjoy winter sports.
