Business travellers flying from London to Dubai with Qatar Airways could be lucky enough to get a free upgrade.

Qatar Airways has announced that it is offering free upgrades to business travellers on flights to Dubai, which leave from London Heathrow.

As part of its latest promotion, the carrier is offering upgrades to first class for any passengers travelling business class between January 18th and March 31st to a range of destinations.

Flights to Dubai are among the routes offering the promotion, in addition to people taking trips to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Kuwait and Muscat.

Rachel Finn, UK country manager with the airline, commented: “It’s a great way to showcase our entire product to the UK business traveller. 2010 looks like a promising year and we are keeping business travellers flying in ultimate style and luxury.”

The company pointed out that seats in its first class service are subject to availability.

In October last year, the airline continued its route expansion with its first flights to Amritsar in the Indian state of Punjab and also began running a service to Goa from its Doha hub.
