People taking flights to Australia with Qantas this Christmas could be treated to festive onboard chocolates. The airline has teamed up with Australia-based Hillier’s to produce some special milk chocolate Santas to be handed out on domestic and international flights in the run-up to Christmas Day.

AnnaMaria Lapetina, general manager of Hillier’s, said: “We’re really excited to be partnering up with fellow Aussie stalemate Qantas. This year we celebrated our 96th birthday, making Hillier’s an older sibling to Qantas who celebrates its 90th birthday this month.”

She added that Qantas is a “great ambassador” for the country.

Qantas has held a number of events to celebrate its 90th birthday, including inviting film star John Travolta, a Qantas ambassador-at-large, to fly a Boeing 707 to Australia to take part in three special days for Qantas employees and their families and friends.
