Melbourne’s Craft and Quilt Fair will aim to inspire people’s creativity from July 28th to 31st.

The Craft and Quilt Fair held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre may appeal to people who have taken cheap flights to Australia and want to develop their creative abilities.

Running from July 28th to 31st, the occasion is aimed at people at all levels, from veteran experts to absolute beginners, with the aim being to inspire people in their craft pursuits.

Anticipated highlights of the event include talks by Jenny King, Louise Snook and various other special guests, as well as special workshops such as Dairing Knitting, which shows people how to do ‘arm-knitting’.

“It’s all about craft – seeing what’s possible, learning new techniques and buying all you need for your craft projects,” remarked the organisers, who explained that there will be exhibitions relating to hobbies including jewellery-making, scrapbooking and embroidery.

The exhibition is open from 09:00 to 17:00 local time daily except for Saturday, when it does not close until 19:00. Admission is AU$16 (£10.66) but concessions are available.
