Chefs from across Australia will be heading to Sydney soon in order to take part in a foodie challenge.

People on flights to Sydney who want the chance to sample food produced by some of the best chefs in Australia should head down to the 100 Mile Challenge.

Culinary experts from the New South Wales regions of North Coast, Illawarra, Central West, South East and Riverina will be meeting in the city on October 30th 2011 to participate in the event, which requires them to make a three course meal.

However, the only catch is that all the ingredients which they use have to be sourced from within a 100 mile radius, with the wine also having to be produced locally.

The event is being held as part of the Crave Sydney International Food Festival.

Anyone on flights to Sydney who feels in need of a rest after a long day wandering the famous city can take a break on one of the many deckchairs which are being put out for the summer months.
